TS Domeng may turn into typhoon Saturday or Sunday as it intensifies

MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Storm Domeng (international name: Jangmi) will continue to intensify and may develop into a typhoon on Saturday evening or early Sunday, the state weather bureau said on Friday.  In its 5 p.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Domeng maintained its strength while moving west-northwestward at 10 kph over the Philippine Sea. As of 4 p.m., Domeng was seen 1,120 km east of Central Luzon.
