Walang Gutom beneficiaries hit 600K nationwide — DSWD

CEBU CITY, Philippines — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said the Walang Gutom Program has expanded to 600,000 household beneficiaries nationwide since its implementation three years ago. In Central Visayas alone, there are now approximately 40,000 household beneficiaries under the program. DSWD Undersecretary Edu Punay said in an interview that they are targeting to further expand the program to 750,000 beneficiaries nationwide this year.
