Ex-barangay captain gunned down in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — A former barangay captain of Upper Sang-an, Labangan town in Zamboanga del Sur, was shot dead in broad daylight along the national highway in Barangay Tawagan Sur here on Thursday afternoon. Initial police investigation showed that the victim was riding his yellow motorcycle and was reportedly on his way to Pagadian City to fetch his wife, who works at a private hospital, when unidentified suspects allegedly tailed him while onboard a white sport utility vehicle (SUV).
