Conflict-Related Sexual Violence (CRSV) in the Southern Ukraine Key Findings and Recommendations from Consultations with CRSV Response Actors (May 2026)

In February and March 2026, the GBV Workstream conducted consultations with humanitarian organizations, municipal service providers, local authorities and civil society, including Women-Led Organizations (WLOs) and survivor-led organizations, across Kherson, Mykolaiv and Odesa oblasts. The consultations aimed to assess trends in Conflict-Related Sexual Violence (CRSV) in the Southern Ukraine, assess the availability and accessibility of services, identify systemic barriers affecting CRSV survivors’ access to support services and justice, and determine priorities, gaps and opportunities for improved CRSV response. The consultations encompassed 10 organizations and institutions actively engaged in CRSV response across Southern Ukraine. Consultations included governmental structures and local civil society organizations engaged in CRSV prevention, response, protection, and survivor support, including women-led, survivor-led, and specialized service providers.
