Haiti: The REZILYANS AYITI consortium launches a multisectoral response to support displaced persons and host communities

The REZILYANS AYITI consortium has launched a six-month emergency humanitarian response in the West, Central, and Artibonite departments of Haiti, with the aim of assisting more than 400,000 people affected by the escalation of armed violence and population displacement. Approximately 6.4 million people—more than half the population—are in need of humanitarian assistance . According to the IPC (April 2026), 5.8 million people are at risk of acute food insecurity . A large portion of the population lives in precarious conditions, a situation exacerbated by mass displacement, limited access to essential services, and increased protection risks, thus requiring a rapid, coordinated, and multisectoral humanitarian response. Through the REZILYANS AYITI consortium, Plan International, in collaboration with the Centre d’Animation Paysanne et d’Action Communautaire (CAPAC), Mercy Corps, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), and Save the Children, is providing a coordinated, multisectoral response to communities affected by repeated displacement and severe humanitarian challenges. This initiative is funded by the Regional Humanitarian Fund for Latin America and the Caribbean (RHPF LAC).
