PH, Japan sign 3 MOUs on smart cities, digital services, fintech
TOKYO, Japan — The Philippines and Japan have signed three memoranda of understanding (MOUs) to advance smart cities, digital connectivity, and financial technology initiatives in the country, including a “Smart Life” digital services partnership projected to generate around P7 billion in revenues. The agreements were signed as President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. undertakes a four-day state visit here aimed at securing stronger partnerships in maritime security, energy, trade, and investment, among others.
