First local produce appear in Latvian markets

Latvian farmers have begun selling this year’s new harvest. The first strawberries, the first new potatoes, as well as this season’s beets and carrots, are already available at the market. Prices for the first vegetable and berry harvest are traditionally high, Kurzeme Television reported on May 27.
