Russia’s digital ministry expands the list of user data that telecom operators must share with security services

Russia’s Digital Development Ministry has drafted updated requirements for telecom operators specifying what user data they must store and share with security services through the operational investigative measures system (SORM). The ministry’s order was published on the official legal information portal and flagged by the Russian business daily Kommersant.
