Minority may run to SC if bid to stop Senate online participation fails
MANILA, Philippines — The debates over whether or not to allow online participation in Senate proceedings could later reach the Supreme Court (SC) if the minority group fails to block in the chamber. This was according to Senate Minority Leader Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, a day after they blocked on Tuesday the majority group’s bid to tackle and decide on Sen. Rodante Marcoleta’s motion to allow a senator to participate remotely in the session.
