NVS inducts 22 CHW volunteers in Manus

In a major boost to rural healthcare, TWENTY-TWO Community Health Workers (CHWs) in Manus Province have been inducted by the National Volunteer Service (NVS), commencing an intensive induction program to serve as volunteers in their respective communities and strengthen health service delivery in rural and remote areas. The week-long induction program, running from May 25–29, 2026, officially opened on Monday, May 25, 2026, at the Manus College of Health Sciences in Ward One, officiated by Manus Provincial Health Authority Chief Executive, Mr Francis Possy.
