Taxi operators sue LTFRB over 1,000 EV taxi slots in Cebu
CEBU CITY, Philippines — A Cebu-based taxi group has asked the court to stop the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board’s (LTFRB) plan to add 1,000 electric vehicle (EV) taxi slots in Metro Cebu. The United Cebu Taxi Operators Association (UCTOA) filed the petition before the Regional Trial Court Branch 57 in Cebu City on Tuesday, May 26. They filed the case against LTFRB Chairperson Vigor D. Mendoza II, Board Members Greg G. Pua Jr. and Isagani M. Victorio, and Executive Director Officer-in-Charge Sherwin D. Vizconde.
