House OKs bill declaring national election days as holidays

MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives on Tuesday approved on final reading a bill declaring national election days a regular non-working holiday, a measure aimed at allowing Filipinos to cast their ballots without sacrificing a day’s wage.
