ANGELES CITY, Pampanga — Retrieval teams on Tuesday began preparing portions of the collapsed nine-story building in Barangay Balibago here for heavy equipment operations as authorities intensified efforts to recover those still trapped beneath the rubble. Members of the Special Rescue Force were seen using a crane as a lifeline while positioned atop unstable sections of the collapsed structure, cutting through connected metal bars and scaffolding to clear the way for the deployment of heavy machinery.
