LTO says Dermalog already ceased LTMS support; firm’s new proposal hit

MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has admitted that Germany-based Dermalog Identification Systems GmbH no longer provides information technology (IT) support for its Land Transportation Management Systems (LTMS) as the contract for the final module is set to expire by May 30. During the House of Representatives committee on transportation’s hearing on Monday, LTO Executive Director Marvin Ontog said that they have relied on LTO’s IT system under the build-own-operate agreement Stradcom Corporation, following the ending of the agency’s contract with Dermalog.
