VIOLENCE AND HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS According to the Human Rights Service (HRS) of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), between 1 July and 30 September 2025, at least 1,247 people were killed and 710 injured as a result of violence perpetrated by gangs, self-defense groups and unorganized members of the population, as well as during security force operations1. Men account for 83 per cent of the victims, women 14 per cent, and children 3 per cent 2.
