Work begins on collapsed section of Baguio-Bontoc Road
MANILA, Philippines — The rehabilitation of the collapsed section of the Baguio-Bontoc Road in Barangay Caliking, Atok, Benguet has begun. In a statement Saturday, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported that the thoroughfare has been a one-lane road with a stop-and-go traffic scheme for almost a year. Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon has instructed the DPWH – Cordillera Region to install early warning devices for the safety of motorists and commuters during the repair period.
